Geo reports doctors have witnessed an influx of covid-19 cases arriving at hospitals across the city, which they are describing as ‘unusual’ during this time of the year. Dr Syed Faisal Mahmood from Aga Khan University spoke to the media platform, saying that the hospital was seeing daily cases of patients coming in sick and being diagnosed with Covid-19.

Dr Javed Khan revealed to Geo that atleast eight to 10 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 at a private hospital. He also assured that these patients’ health was improving and there was no cause for alarm.

In other places like the Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital (SIDH), three patients were confirmed to have Covid.

Experts have expressed their shock at seeing the surge of this illness during this time of extreme heat and are cautioning people to take the necessary measures like travelling with a mask, washing their hands with a soap and immediately visiting a clinic for testing with their fever or cough symptoms aren’t going away.
