‘Overload’Famed Pakistani singer and musician, Farhad Humayun of band ‘OverLoad’ passed away today leaving fans heartbroken. The unfortunate news of his demise  was announced on the official Facebook page of Overload and the band requested fans to pray for the departed soul.

“The magnificent Farhad Humayun left us for the stars this morning. Stoic in the face of challenges, uncompromising in his values, generous to a fault, witty as hell! Fadi was far too ahead of his time, both in spirit and art.” “He would want us to celebrate his life, so we request his family, friends and fans to honour him and say a prayer for him today.” “We can almost hear him say these words by David Bowie: ‘I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring’. Godspeed our gentle giant and thank you for creating a Riot!” the post read.

The cause of his death is not revealed yet but Farhad announced in 2018 that he had a brain tumour that was being treated by the “world’s top surgeon.”

“Dear friends, family, fans, it was about two weeks ago that I was diagnosed with a brain tumour due to which I suffered a seizure. I have been lucky to find the greatest surgeon in the world to operate on me but it has not been easy,” he had written in an Instagram post.

Soon after he shared, “I thank you for your prayers and messages of love. I have had little or no symptoms until very recently – I am told by my doctor, my active and healthy lifestyle and general attitude of positivity have enabled me to stay strong underneath and I am recovering quickly.”

Following the news, social media is full of tweets from fans and celebrities to pay respect to him and are sending heartfelt condolences to Farhad’s family. His music pieces will be cherished forever and he will stay in hearts forever!
