Meri Zindagi Hai Tu served the expected plot twist, where Kamyar (Bilal Abbas Khan) and Ayra (Hania Amir) break up after an explicit video of Kamyar is sent to every guest. Ayra, shattered by it, walks out on their nikkah ceremony, and the confused Kamyar chases her back to her home.
A confrontation follows, in which Ayra commands him never to be seen in her life, while Kamyar keeps looking for a chance to explain himself. The once-happy couple, marking a day in their lives, are now shattered in their own course and unable to make peace with it.

Her family surrounds Ayra, while Kamyar finds solace in his old friend, Fariya (Verdah Malik), the one behind the video. Saying that goodness does not result well, his efforts to become a better person for Ayra went in vain. Hence, he would become the older self because the change could not get him the love of his life, Ayra.

The remarkable performances by the two leads hooked the audience during the weekend episodes. Praise poured on social media, making it a nationwide trend. Appreciating the performances, a user posted:

Yet what stood out to viewers was how each Hania Aamir drama serial has a similar wedding plot and sequences. There has never been a Hania Aamir starrer in which she is not crying at her wedding, whether the groom is changed or the wedding is called off.

Commenting on it, a user posted on X:
everything is temporary but hania amir ki shaadi tutna in every show is permanent

Another stated that seemingly Hania is made for crying sequences and posted:

One stated that the only difference in a Hania Amir drama serial is the lead actor and the serial’s name. They posted:
Randomly clicked on Ep 18 of #MeriZindagiHaiTu and of course, the wedding is cancelled. 🤡 Why is Hania Aamir’s script always the same? Different drama, different hero, but the same “dulhan” crying because the marriage broke at the last second. #MZHT

Still appreciating her performances in each, a user posted:
To my surprise, Hania’s performance is very good, yeah her character is similar to the characters she already performed but she’s cute. KTKM & now this, she’s performing well.#HaniaAamir #MeriZindagiHaiTu #MZHT

Placing the onus of it on type casting, a fan said:
That’s because Hania is getting type casted without realising it’s type casting https://t.co/oCYCFRBJQo

A netizen commented that it is not only Hania but also most drama scripts that serve a similar trope. Posting to X, they said:
Every pakistani script starts with falling in love, family not accepting, then marraige is fixed, someone blows up the wedding, then they find out who, then they get married end of story.

A user added that Hania must try different roles as well and commented:
