easypaisa is showing the world how they are a socially responsible organisation that cares for the well-being and safety of their workers.
At the height of illustrious billboard campaigning, many people have brought into question the safety and medical concerns for Out-Of-Home advertising workers (OOH) who have to face all sorts of risks when maintaining billboards during their job. In July 2020, three workers from a mobile company were critically injured while installing a billboard when a wall collapsed on them due to the load of poles and iron bars.
Workers are likely to suffer from physical injuries like falling from heights or serious injuries during working with machinery, or could be immune to electrical shocks or exposure to UV sun rays. To evade responsibility, companies usually fire workers and deny them medical coverage or financial compensation to provide ease to their families.
Recognising the risks workers face during their day-to-day operations, easypaisa has provided them with safety equipment to assist them during their jobs such as helmets, gloves, protective clothing etc. All of this is to ensure that our company cares about the health and safety of all of its workers.
Along with this, easypaisa will introduce medical coverage for all workers, so that in case of a tragic accident, workers will not have to worry about the financial costs of their medical surgeries and nor risk losing their jobs. Their families won’t be forced into facing a financial burden in case of a tragic incident.
As the saying goes ‘No company can succeed without its dedicated employees’. By taking this step, easypaisa hopes that this can influence other companies to recognise the importance of making their workers’ safety and security an essential priority. It is vital that businesses who require their employees to work in high-risk settings, provide them with the necessary support to help them perform their job with ease.
