Karachi is shocked again with a theft horror from the Defence area, where a domestic worker was arrested with millions of rupees in cash along with gold. Upon recovery of the money and gold, the suspect has confessed to his crimes.
The District South Police has issued a statement in which it states that the Sahil Police had arrested the suspect over a complaint issued by a woman who remains anonymous. In thier encouter, the police recovered rupees worth million along with gold along with a lead for previous thefts. The suspect has been identified as Wajid Ali, who had been working at the complainent’s residence for eight years.
Upon investigation, the suspect has confessed to stealing valuables from the house which included cash in Pakistani rupees and US dollars, chequebooks and gold. He further confessed to transferring money via ATMs and chequebooks which summed up to be in millions. The investigation lead the police to physically recover two 5 tola bars, two 2 tola bars, seven 1 tola bars and Rs. 227,000 in cash. The suspect had also purchased valuable properties and vehicles from the stolen money.
The Sahil Police has now registered a case against him and given him in the custody of the Investigator Police who are now investigating his bank accounts, properties and other assets.
