A couple from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa distributes ration worth 40 lakh amongst 600 poor families, in stead of Valima function.

Instead of hosting and organizing an extravagant marriage with multiple events, the groom and his brothers distributed large quantities of ration worth Rs. 40 lakh among 600 needy families.

As per reports, it is Jamat-i-Islami’s Mayor of Sarai Naurang, Aziz ullah Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s two nephews who celebrated their wedding ceremony for the entire population by distributing food packages worth lakhs of rupees.

Where lavish wedding events with ostentatious arrangements have become the societal norm, putting pressure on those who can and can’t afford the wastefulness alike, the incident comes as a much-needed change. While social media users have applauded the couple for their wise decision many have hoped that it sets an example for other young couples to follow suit.
