Coke Studio just released Beparwah, the tenth song from Season 14, featuring vocalist Momina Mustehsan, and Twitter has been in love ever since.
The only solo of Coke Studio Season 14, the song is ‘“an intimate conversation. Beparwah is a song for any of us who ask for the protection of a higher power in a moment of crisis.”
Spiritual and soulful conversation has always been a prominent aspect of Coke Studio music featuring songs such as ‘Jugni’, ‘Tu Jhoom’, and ‘Hor vi Neevan Ho’ since the very first season. And yet still, Beparwah manages to present an evolution of sorts- as Beparwah’s hip, urban and fusion musical arrangements set a very contemporary feel, shifting away from the folksy arrangements of previous years.
Similarly, the song video also compliments the musical score, showing dusky tones against a backdrop of nature- and a dressed up Momina Mustehsan- depicting a kind of fusion of sorts.
The song has so far been welcomed by social media, and is currently trending on Twitter as fans and followers show love.
