As things move forward in Tamasha Season 5, the contestants have gotten fierce towards each other; from quarrels to personal jabs, the environment has turned sour. Taking the highlight this time are Dr. Zee and Samiya Hijab, where banter over pimples and laser treatments turned into a personal attack. While Samiya called him disgraceful, Dr. Zee got personal, calling her infamous; he attacked her character, referring to Samiya’s past controversy, for which he was called out by other contestants and Badshah Salamat (Adnan Siddique).

The personal attack deeply hurt Samiya; however, while she found support from fellow contestants, she was criticized by Badshah Salamat for oversharing about her personal life in the Tamasha house. He stated that due to her oversharing, she is an easy target for such attacks. He also called out Dr. Zee for his lack of control and foul language, stating that this may lead to his being kicked off the show. Both Samiya and Dr. Zee are in the danger zone, and only their performances in games and public voting will decide their fate in Tamasha 5.

Though Badshah Salamat has held both equally responsible for the argument, Tamasha viewers have overwhelmingly sided with Samiya, who broke down in private over the attack. Netizens have slammed Dr. Zee for questioning a young woman’s character and for his constant personal attacks on the contestants. Samiya has not been a favorite; the attack, motionally affected, has won over the audience. Taking to Instagram, a drama serial buff and social media influencer criticized Dr. Zee for a low blow and also criticized the way the situation was handled. She posted:
