Dhoop ki Deewar featuring Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir is all set to release this month. Written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Haseeb Hassan, the show has been based in the backdrop of Kashmir and Pulwama attacks and shows how people deal with the effects of war.
The trailer released recently shows how Vishal and Sarah played by Ahad and Sajal respectively lose their fathers in war. The two exchange harsh words for each other in media shows but soon feel disturbed about it leading to Vishal approaching Sarah on Skype. This starts off their romance! However the tensions between the two countries and the pressure from their families threatens them to tear apart.
Due to the controversial topic surrounding Kashmiris, some people are unhappy that the show is being aired on an Indian platform. Some people are of the view that its insensitive the way they showcase the plight of Kashmiris while some think there’s no need to romanticize such a topic. This has started a trend on social media to ban Dhoop ki Deewar.
