Perhaps for the first time in the history of Pakistan, there have been as many as 126 men arrested on charges of being involved in a case of gender-based assault.
Police deployed outside survivor’s home after she received death threats
The survivor commented on the matter saying that the deployment of police outside her home came in the aftermath of threats being hurled against the TikToker and her family. “The threats have caused fear in my family due to which my mother has fallen sick,” she shared.

Various women from across the city gathered in Greater Iqbal Park to protest against the mob assault that took place at Minar-e-Pakistan on Independence Day.
Suspect in Minar-e-Pakistan incident gets bail from Lahore Court
The session court in Lahore approved pre-arrest bail to a suspect identified as Shehroz Saeed until September 03. Moreover, the court also sought a police record in the Minar-e-Pakistan case. According to Syed’s petition, he wants to be a part of the police investigation but fears arrests.
Minar-e-Pakistan incident: Medical report of survivor confirms assault, bruises across body
The Punjab government recently released a medical examination report of the survivor, which confirmed details of the injuries she sustained after being assaulted.
