Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani replaces Mukesh Ambani to be throned as Asia’s wealthiest man

Indian billionaire Gautam Adani has replaced Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani for the title of Asia’s richest businessman.

Adani, who is the founder of the multinational conglomerate Adani Group, is now ranked as the 11th richest man in the world with a net worth reportedly amounting up to $111 billion. While Mukesh Ambani is one step behind at the 12th spot with a $109 billion net worth.

According to Bloomberg Billionaires, Adani was able to out-run Mukesh after a rise in stock prices of Adani Group Companies.

Currently, the Ambani family has caught the world by storm with the elaborate festivals celebrating the wedding of Anant Ambani with Raadhika Merchant. At the pre-wedding celebrations, which were held at a private luxury cruise in Italy, several A-list Bollywood celebrities were seen in attendance including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Jhanvi Kapoor were seen among the attendees. Hollywood celebrities such as Katy Perry, Pitbull and Andrea Bocello were also among the performers at the event.
