Biryani on ARY has served us something far spicier than a plate of biryani: Mir Meeran. Played by Khushhal Khan, he’s the man who has turned audiences (read: women and girls) into mush simply by existing. Yes, you read that right.
It is rare to see heroes in Pakistani dramas redefining masculinity so smoothly as him. Khusshal embodied the true essence of Sindhi culture and mannerism in his character. We’re gushing at the gentlemanliness that does not come forced, and we’re all swooning!
Biryani’s Mir Meeran is not showing off power moves or using some dramatic monologues, but winning hearts just by his gaze and expressions.
The chemistry between Mir and Nisa seems so real and raw. We can feel the moments in Meeran’s eyes as he falls deeper in love. He has depicted what men actually look and act like when in love. The originality makes watching the whole drama much more worth-while.
The latest episode 12 of Biryani gave us all what we wanted to see for long. The scene where they go for a long drive and actually enjoy themselves.
The scene where he blows a kiss at her when she’s telling him not to leave her side because she just cant take it.
The scene where he sits her down in a restaurant to talk about something very important. He said he wants to commit to her ‘whole-heartedly’, really got us listening to him.
The scene where Gul recites the poem and the memories flash back with the OST playing in the background really binds the whole feel of the drama. Meeran’s red-eyed expressions through this moment makes one see through his pain and confusion.
Lets see what Biryani has in store for tonight as the promo shows Nisa’s formal invitation to Meeran’s village is likely. Fingers crossed!
Watch the drama tonight only on Ary Digital 8pm.
