History is in the making!! As the Duke and the Duchess are in Pakistan for a Royal tour, today on the third day they have been taken to visit Chitral.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were received with a very warm welcome and were given traditional Chitrali hats, adorned with peacock feathers as they landed. Soon after the pictures circulated on the internet the twitter again was flooded with tweets of how similar Kate and (late) Princess Diana looked when she visited Chitral in 1991.

The Duke was gifted with an embroidered white coat and the Duchess was gifted with a beautiful traditional white shawl. The Duke and the Duchess were also gifted a book of photos of Princess Diana’s visit in Chitral in 1991.

The Royal couple as per details will be visiting the Hindu Khush valley and will also visit the Chiatibo Glacier in Broghil National Park to see the devastating effects of climate change and further to a kalash village.
