Taking laws into own hands, sexual abuses, violence, kidnapping and murdering someone has become very common in our society. #JusticeForRehan has been trending on the internet for a while now since a heartbreaking video was circulated on social media of a 17-year-old boy being brutally beaten to death. According to reports the incident took place on Saturday, when two alleged robbers entered a bungalow in Bahadurabad for a robbery. Rehan was caught by the security guard while the other robber managed to escape.

The bungalow’s owner and neighbors tied Rehan’s hands to the grill, took off his pants forcefully and constantly kept beating him though he was seen requesting them in the video to not to hit on his head and eventually, Rehan lost his life. According to journalists, Rehan’s father said that his son worked as a butcher on Eid-ul-Adha and told him that he was going to collect his money but never came back.

The entire incident had been recorded on a mobile phone which was later surfaced on the social media. After seeing the video apart from many other people, celebrities took a stand on social media with tweets against the heinous crime and demanded prompt action against the culprits who took laws in their hands.

Police arrested the owner of the house and his friend involved in the crime and with the latest development in the case, three more suspects have been arrested after identifying them with the help of the video footage.

FIR has been registered at the Bahadurabad police station on the complaint of Rehan’s father Mohammad Zaheer and the funeral prayers have been offered.

We hope justice prevails!
