As Dar-e-Nijaat premieres on television with massive praise, netizens are divided as Saba Hamid and Faran Tahir are cast as mother and son. While the two are playing husband and wife in Bas Tera Saath Ho, seeing the two as mother and son has left the audience in shock. Saba Hamid plays Kishwar Jahan, holding an important place as she is the connection between the worlds of Zaryab, Zamil and Abu Bakr. Faran Tahir, her son, Saeed, is a liberal father of three girls who is allowing his daughters to make the choices they please. As he gives an open hand to his family, he holds his mother close in attempts to balance traditional values.

Netizens are shocked as Dar-e-Nijaat depicts a well-acclaimed on-air couple in a son-and-daughter relationship. They draw parallels between the two on-air drama serials and their treatment of the actors in different characters; they appreciate the range Saba Hamid offers by her choice of characters; however, seeing him as Faran Tahir’s mother, who plays her husband in another drama serial, does not sit well.  While many laugh it off, seeing the contrast, some criticize the casting team for such a mismatched pairing. While the lead pair is winning hearts, this unforeseen pairing has taken people aback.
