Pakistan is set to enter the Miss World 2026 for the first time after Anniqa Meraj was crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026. In a ceremony held in Lahore, the beauty pageant contestant was crowned the title and will travel to Veitman to participate in the contest. Announcing it, Miss World stated that Anniqa will be representing Pakistan at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival hosted between August 9 and September 5, 2026.

Anniqa is a 24-year-old who holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Auditing and Accounting. Talking about her future ambitions with the Miss World team, she stated that she dreams of becoming a State-Authorized Public Accountant. Talking about her campaign, she added that she will be raising awareness on thalassemia and creating support for its patients in Pakistan.
Anniqa’s debut in the beauty pageant marks a milestone for Pakistan on a global stage; however, she has previously been recognised internationally in beauty pageants, including Miss Earth 2022, Miss Eco International 2023, Miss Aura 2024, Miss Cosmo International 2025, and Miss Globe International 2025.
