In a podcast with Click 1, Waseem Abbas has opened up about his marriage to Saba Hameed and stated that their marriage has now ended. He stated that the two had been married for twenty-nine years and have respectfully parted ways after sixteen years of separation. He added that there is no animosity between them and they remain cordial in social gatherings. He also added that they would work together if any project is offered.


Waseem Abbas also opened up about how he is content when it comes to his split with Saba Hameed as the two do not share children. He said that both had children from previous marriages, hence chose not to have more children. He added that respect matters more to him than love, hence both decided to split before things got bitter between them. He also shared how he shared a beautiful bond with his ex-wife’s parents and siblings. He also sent best wishes and prayers for Saba. He also shared how he was cast alongside Saba in Bas Tera Saath Ho, but declined solely due to medical reasons.

Waseem Abbas is a veteran actor, director and screenwriter, working in the Pakistan television industry for over forty years.  He is known for his work in 90s hits like Samundar, Family Front and Ashiyana while his most recent mega-hits have been Mere Humsafar and Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.
