Emraan Rajput has become synonymous with timeless tailoring in Pakistan. How do you strike the balance between classic menswear codes and the evolving style appetite of a younger generation led by stars like Ahad Raza Mir?
I listen. The younger generation has a story to tell and they are immensely passionate about forging their own identities through how they present their personal style. So whenever a younger client comes in and discusses what they envision, I aim to deliver that while simultaneously selling them on a few old-school trends that one can’t ignore. It’s quite exciting to be able to blend both classic styles along with newfound ones because you never know where it takes you.

A strong muse often shapes the energy of a collection. In this case, did Ahad Raza Mir’s persona, confidence, and effortless sophistication influence the design language or styling direction of the bespoke pieces in any way?
Ahad Raza Mir is a man brimming with phenomenal talent. He’s done a fantastic job representing Pakistan in his international projects and has a decorated name in the local industry. So when Ahad became my muse, I envisioned him in only suits that had classic color schemes ranging from black to white and blue. The idea was to bring a healthy fusion of old-school style along with new age trends which Ahad accentuated further with his cool and collected persona.

Pakistani menswear has evolved dramatically over the last decade. What do you think today’s South Asian man is looking for in a bespoke suit beyond just the perfect fit?
I believe they’re looking to stand out. You now see that South Asian fashion has found a home within the international fashion sphere with the latest craze of dupattas as a fashion accessory (Met Gala looks on Hailey Bieber and Connor Storrie to name a few) so I believe they want to wear suits that have a healthy blend of both culture while simultaneously hitting the mark on international trends.

Bespoke tailoring is often associated with heritage and tradition. How do you reinterpret that legacy for a younger generation consuming fashion through social media and pop culture?
If you see through pop culture a lot of the trends are making a comeback because of the fact that right now pop culture is aiming to bring back the glory of trends from yesteryears. The example I’d pose would be Love Story – now everyone is wanting to wear the same style of suit that JFK Jr wore back in the 90’s. So for me I believe the younger generation is a curious one that wants to stand out. That wants to know more and if they resonate with a specific style they will go for it.
