In an interview on Nida Yasir’s morning show, Fazila Qazi appeared as a guest and shared her views on women as mothers-in-law. She stated that it is easy to judge women as mothers-in-law, yet we forget to understand the reason behind that shift. She stated that while women must work to make the mother-in-law-daughter-in-law relationship healthy, women’s bodily changes after age 40 should also be recognized.

Fazila stated that mostly women marry off their children after their 40s, during which they are in their pre-menopausal phase, where a woman is struggling with a tsunami of emotions. They are dealing with so much physically and emotionally that a shift in their behavior is inevitable. She said that a woman who has been a good partner and mother suddenly becomes bitter, which is actually due to hormonal changes in her body. She further added that no woman would instantly turn negative; it is the lack of awareness towards health.

Fazila Qazi is a renowned director, actor, producer, and chef known for her performances in Yaqeen Ka Safar, Bekhudi, Sirf Tum, Dareecha, and Meri Ban Jao. She entered the drama industry as a fashion model and has also hosted a culinary segment on a morning show. Her humanitarian work primarily revolves around children with special needs.
