While appearing on Rise and Shine with Nadia Khan, Naeema Butt has opened up about what led to her differences with the cast and crew of Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum. Sharing her personal experience, she said that while shooting the drama serial, she lost someone and had to leave the shoot. She added that she came back from New York to fulfill her professional obligations and gave her best. Things were smooth on sets, but she was later sidelined despite the acclaim she won for her character, Rubab, she claimed.

Naeema further said that while she was going through the most traumatic time in her life, the people who she presumed were her friends did not stand by her. She alleged that she was not allowed to join the main cast of Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum on stage during promotions. Her character was praised, but her colleagues did not celebrate her hard work and dedication. She added that she was abandoned when she expected support, knowing that she was grieving the loss of a loved one.

Talking about her movie debut as Fakeera in Bullah, she said that she has learned from her experience and does not set expectations for her colleagues. She looks forward to her career in Pakistan’s entertainment industry and will soon be seen alongside Danish Taimoor in a romance-filled drama serial. Naeema debuted in drama serials with Daasi in 2019, gave groundbreaking performances in Jindo and Fraud, and rose to fame with Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum in 2024.

Earlier too, Naeema took a jab at the main leads of Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum, and, while appearing as a guest on Gup Shab with Vasay Chaudhry last year, she said that friendships in the industry are only for the camera.
