In a swift action on workplace harassment, the Kasur Police have arrested their constable for harassment, forgery of documents, and death threats, Express News reported. Upon receiving an application, District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq took notice of the incident and ordered an arrest.

The suspect has been identified as Constable Asghar Ali and has been harassing a lady constable for the past three months. The complainant, Gulfishan, further alleged that Asghar had been sending her threatening messages and pushing her to marry him. He allegedly threatened her with acid attacks and administering a poison injection upon refusal.

Asghar also prepared a fake marriage certificate in her name to further blackmail her despite her being already married. The accused is currently in police custody while the investigation continues. Commenting on the case, DPO Zia-ul-Haq stated that the police have a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, in line with the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He added that strict action against such elements will continue under his supervision.
