While sharing her experience in Eid show, Eid ka Samaa with Madeeha Naqvi, Bushra Ansari opened up about her first Eid in her first marriage. Talking about the changes a girl experiences after marriage, Bushra said her first Eid celebration was unlike those she had in her parents’ home. She came from a humorous family but was wedded into a dry, sophisticated one.
Elaborating on her first Eid experience after marriage, she stated that no one bothered much about the celebration, but only exchanged food. She added that they lacked cheerful conversation and did not laugh, which was a huge change, as her family was very celebratory. She further added that her ex-in-laws did not allow themselves to be happy, but rather lived with grievances from one another. She added that even if they met after ages, they would not embrace one another and stick a sophisticated salam.

Bushra further added that what was normal to her was considered absurd by her in-laws; expressing love towards her husband was considered disrespectful. Clarifying her statement, she added that they were a good family, just lacked humour and were boring. She pushed the idea that being boring does not make them bad; it just means they are not the best fit for her.
