In a haunting event that took place in Daska, a young girl was allegedly gang raped after two men lured her into a workshop under the pretext of providing a Ramadan ration package, Dawn News reported. The Daska City Police have registered a first information report (FIR) under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The police are on the lookout for arrests.
According to the FIR, the complainant stated that she is a resident of village Daulatpur, Tehsil Pasrur, and that she travelled to Daska with her niece and another female resident of the village to collect the promised ration package. She added that upon arrival, the accused lured her into a nearby workshop.
The FIR further elaborated that the primary accused, along with his accomplice, held the women on gunpoint and took the victim to a separate room. There she was raped by the two men and was sent away without the promised ration package.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family has appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to ensure immediate arrests and swift justice.
