A horrific case was reported in Ferozwala, where a 5-month pregnant woman was set ablaze, Samaa reported. The victim was identified as Sana, who was set on fire by her in-laws by pouring petrol on her. The victim was quickly moved to the hospital, but succumbed to her wounds and died. The unborn child also lost their life.
According to the hospital staff, 70 percent of Sana’s body was affected, with her arms and face severely burned. Police officials, in their briefing on the case, stated that the accused are on the run and that they are utilising all available resources to arrest them. They added that the in-laws allegedly attacked the victim because they were upset over an insufficient dowry. Sana married Mustafa six months ago and was expecting their first child.
A search operation has been launched to apprehend the accused, and further investigation is underway.
