Saba Qamar has filed a defamation case against Naeem Hanif over his belittling and sexist claims about her personal life. In a YouTube video, he had claimed that Saba Qamar had been living in Lahore’s Walton with a man he claims she was romantically involved with between 2003 and 2004. He contended that the individual eventually harassed Qamar as the relationship didn’t end well. She got rid of the situation after filing a complaint against him in a news studio, where they had initially been introduced.

Saba Qamar swiftly took him to court with a Rs. 100,000,000 defamation notice for ‘disseminating defamatory, sexist and derogatory statements’. The notice stated that Naeem Hanif had used a tone of mockery and insinuation for Saba, having implications for her moral character and professional achievements. In a statement via Instagram, she said that she has taken action over false and baseless claims and urged everyone to stand up for themselves. Such behaviour must be called out, and no one should be allowed to defame or disrespect anyone, she stated. She also said that standing tall and speaking up will bring a change, and posted:

She also shared the defamation notice issued by her lawyers, which demanded that the video containing the sexist and derogatory content be removed from YouTube. Hanif must issue a clear and public apology for Qamar in writing and in video form and delete any videos, clips or excerpts from all social media platforms. He must refrain from issuing, repeating or sharing any further statements regarding this topic. He is also bound to pay 100 million rupees. She posted on Instagram:
