Ramzan shows in Pakistan have always had a few hilarious moments that have gone viral on the internet, but this time it looks like the chaos has reached its peak.
On the Ramzan transmission show ‘Piyara Ramzan’, a woman caller from Gujranwala questioned the host Javeria Saud and the present ulema about why women weren’t allowed to marry four times the same way as men.
In the video as posted below, the woman said she was married, but she had developed a crush on a man who worked at the same place as she did. She questioned the ulema about what she could do about her crush, and asked the ulema on what step she could take next.
The ulema present on the live transmission urged the woman to show restraint and patience so that Allah would finally show her the right path away from infidelity. He also went on to elaborate on why Islam had given men the permission to marry four times in Islam, saying that this was encoded within the sharia law. He pointed out that even within sharia law, a man was not allowed to marry his wife’s sister while she is living.
