‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ depicts why discussing childhood traumas is incredibly important

The beloved drama ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ finally ended on a heartening note yesterday, and fans had several things to gush about. But most importantly, I feel it is important to talk about how Mustafa was able to stand up to his parents and call them out for their bad parenting, and how it impacted his relationship with Sharjeena.

Users shared the clip where Mustafa addresses how both his parents loved Adeel more because he was smart, and discarded him because they never believed that Mustafa would be capable of anything.

We’re glad that more Pakistani dramas are talking about the impact of childhood trauma, and how it shapes the kind of adult you will become in the future

We also love how this encouraged Mustafa to finally address the things he feared about to Sharjeena, and tell her that it was his fear of not being good enough for her that pushed them apart. He finally writes her a letter, opening up about how the miscarriage had also played a deep impact on him as well.

The two are able to discuss their insecurities together in the shared flat that was their first home, with Mustafa apologising for prioritising his work and dreams over his wife. And that is how ladies and gentlemen, you wrap up a drama.

We’re happy that Sharjeena stood her ground and refused to accept the age-old notion that you forgive husbands for their ‘mistakes’. She rightfully demands Mustafa to shred of the toxic alpha-male image he has adopted, and go back to becoming the person she first fell in love with. And Mustafa finally promises her that he would become the man she has always wanted.
