Many of the senior ex-Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf leaders appeared at the newly formed Istekham-e-Party’s launching ceremony, seeming distraught with bowed heads and worried expressions.

Former senior member of PTI Fawad Chaudhry, former Senior Vice-President of PTI Ishaq Khan Khakwani and Ex- Secretary General PTI Jahangir Tareen were all present at the ceremony of the new party Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), launched on 8th June.

According to sources, Fawad Chaudhry left his seat on stage to sit with the audience during the launching ceremony. When inquired about the matter, Ishaq Khakwani said that Fawad Chaudhry’s sitting place was reserved at the stage during the launch of the party, but he did not sit there. “What Fawad Chaudhry was thinking, only he can tell,” Khakwani said responding to another query.

The IPP was launched on Thursday 8th June by Ishaq Khan Khakwani  and Jahangir Tareen along with other senior ex-PTI leadership, with the aim to give “new direction” to the country’s politics. Khakwani said Istekham-e-Pakistan, is a newly formed party and it will take time in appointing its office-bearers.
