Memes flooded Twitter following the twin hikes in petrol prices by Rs. 30, soon after Finance Minister Miftah Ismail on Thursday announced that the federal government will raise the prices of all petroleum products by another Rs30 amounting to a total increase of Rs 60 per liter, just a week after making a similar increase.

After the most recent of the two hikes in petrol prices, petrol will be priced at Rs209.86, diesel at Rs204.15, kerosene oil at Rs181.94 and light diesel at Rs178.31. Following the news of the exorbitant increase, Twitterati could not keep themselves from taking the stressful news with a pinch of salt, taking to social media posting all kinds of jokes and memes.
