It is an open secret that we Pakistanis are a creative lot when it comes to showing on-screen romance in the most peculiar of ways. Amidst a determined censor board and government policies that change almost every other season, our innovative writers and directors seem to have found the most uncanny of ways to reach out to an ever-enthusiastic audience.
The most recent one of such masterpieces drama serial ‘Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi’, serves a severely savage kind of romance featuring Danish Taimoor as Shamsher. A scene from the drama which has recently gone viral over social media depicts the hero using the heroine’s misery to get some kind of strange pleasure over a phone call, leaving audiences baffled!

This is not the first time that a drama serial has alarmed social media with it’s toxic content guised as entertainment, adding to the unending list of dramas contributing towards a peculiar kind of romance featuring creepy men, grieving women & a strictly halal audience.
Twitter seems to be just as confused as we are by Shamsher in Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi.

this is what happens when u suppress intimacy and glorify abuse. also, shows how misogynistic script writers/producers/actors can no longer differentiate between abuse and romance.. https://t.co/yBHZEYTrFs

the woman crying and begging for her family’s safety and the man being horny for his own name is somehow a weirdly accurate analogy for pakistani men and women https://t.co/4939y1QhXa
