Recently, a storm erupted on Twitter over delayed justice in Noor Mukaddam case, amidst recent statements of the case’s Investigation Officer who revealed several gaps that were left out in the court investigation of the murder case.
The IO revealed that no eyewitnesses appeared before the court. Moreover, statements of any of the neighbours or guards were not recorded, while the CCTV camera footage that revealed the victim being tortured at the hands of accused Zahir Jaffer was also not made a part of the investigation. Meanwhile, the only aspect taken into consideration was that no bloodstains were found on the pants of the accused. Zahir Jaffer was included in the investigation just for being at home, the investigation officer said.
Meanwhile, the case developments invoked an outrage over social media with Twitterati calling out the judicial system and authorities for this ‘blatant mockery’, and its failure to acquit the accused in a clear case of cold-blooded murder.
Mockery of our judicial system❗Such pics are disdainful. Judiciary must put an end to this blatant mockery via speedy & examplary punishment. May Allah punish all who obstruct timely justice.#JusticeForNoor #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw #noormuqaddam #NawazSharif pic.twitter.com/0k0U9baB0N

Another day and another obscene abuse of power, evidence and victim blaming. #NoorMuqaddam’s story shall not be forgotten, we demand justice and we demand it now! Enough with the delays, the excuses and the insanity. We demand justice for Noor. Enough is enough

Many called upon the PM of the country to bring justice for the family of Noor Mukaddam.
If Zahir Jaffer is not pronounced guilty of barbarically killing Noor Muqaddam due to the absence of evidence, then sorry to say that Imran Khan, you failed as a Prime Minister. You have failed to introduce the reforms that could revamp the judicial system.#NoorMuqaddam

Still our judiciary need evidence. pic.twitter.com/A75XItq2Hq— AbidMany compared the case to the Asgher (@abidasgher) January 25, 2022
Others compared Zahir Jaffer to Usman Mirza, both of who seem to be very close to be getting away despite the gross crimes they have committed against humanity, simply on accord of blatant abuse of money, power and contacts!
We need to bring back Noor Mukadam’s case and Usman Mirza’s case back into the limelight
Zahir Jaffer and Usman Mirza are getting away with it
Raise your voice once again!!#noormuqaddam #UsmanMirza #zahirjaffer— Hassaan Naeem (@hassaanwrites) January 25, 2022
