UrduFlix : First Urdu OTT platform all set to launch in Pakistan
We all have been well aware of how the digital industry has grown after the pandemic and lock-down. From working at home for our jobs to students taking online lectures the media insustry also took steps to promote digital platforms for short dramas and movies.
Since our Minister of health and technology announced that Pakistan will be having its first OTT (over the top) platform, the idea to launch an in-house digital streaming platform in Pakistan was being circulated over the social media.
Weeks after internationally acclaimed digital network Emax Media has announced that are all set to launch digital streaming platform UrduFlix in Pakistan in January 2021 which will provide original, popular and exclusive content in Urdu worldwide.
According to a press release, UrduFix will be providing exclusive urdu content to everyone in Pakistan and will be providing access to all the international users also. The platform will air films, series, documentaries, cartoons, and Urdu-dubbed Turkish dramas ong with some of the popular dramas and films.
Founder of UrduFlix, Farhan Ghauhar said, “With the on-demand streaming culture on the rise around the world, we want to play our part in putting Pakistan and Pakistani content on the global market as well, and compete with international players.”
UrduFlix will be available to all the users in the same way as NetFlix is and we are very excited that our country is growing and trying to make its way in the digital industry in a way that our own Urdu content will be now available for Pakistan and to all the international subscribers which help us promote our culture globally.
